The development of alternative fuels and concern for the environment arose at the beginning of the last century. The first automobile gas filling compressor stations arose in the 1930s in Italy, and then they were developed all over the world. To date, more than 10 million machines have been transferred to CNG. About 9000 CNG stations were built in different countries. As of May 2017, 281 CNG stations operate on the territory of the Russian Federation and according to the data of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, their number by 2030 should increase by 17.5 times.
